Activities, hours and fees

Our Welsh-medium sessions for children aged 2+ combine free play, creative activities, songs, stories and outdoor time in a safe and homely setting.

Learning through play

Experiences that build confidence and curiosity

We adapt activities to the children's interests, needs and stages of development. Welsh is a natural part of play and daily routines.

Playing and creating

Children can explore sand, water, dough, paint, jigsaws, small-world toys, board games and role play. These experiences support coordination, problem solving, imagination and social skills.

Songs and stories

Welsh songs, movement, rhymes and stories build vocabulary and confidence. Children from Welsh-speaking and non-Welsh-speaking homes are supported to join in at their own pace.

Outdoor play

We regularly use the school yard, outdoor areas and playing field. Active play, nature discovery and forest-school activities encourage teamwork, independence and respect for the environment.

Everyday care

Children receive a healthy snack with water or milk. The team helps children settle, make friends, develop positive routines and prepare for their next step.

Our fees and funding are used to run and improve the Cylch's charitable early-years provision.

Help with costs

Childcare funding

We are registered to provide places through relevant schemes. Eligibility depends on the child's age, family circumstances and each scheme's rules.

Flying Start

Flying Start childcare may support eligible families with 2-year-old children. Availability depends on the area and the scheme's criteria.

10 hours early education

We accept 10-hour early-education places when a child is eligible, usually from the term after their third birthday.

Eligible parents of 3 and 4-year-olds may receive up to 30 hours a week of funded early education and childcare.

Ti a Fi

A stay-and-play session for families

Ti a Fi is an informal session where parents, carers and young children can play, sing and chat together. It is a relaxed way to get to know the staff, setting and Welsh language before starting Cylch sessions.
